BREAKING DOWN Hard Puncher ARCADE is a new punching machine developed by BreakingDown Co and GiGO. A total of 200 units are scheduled to be in operation at approximately 170 GiGO nationwide. BreakingDown is a new type of mixed martial arts entertainment in which fighters with various backgrounds such as boxing, karate, karate, judo, Nippon Kempo, sumo. Fighters com compete to determine the strongest in a "one minute, one round" match.The game has two game modes: classic "punch force measurement": punching power will be measured, and after playing, you can register for the national rankings using the QR code that is displayed. Various events will be held on the BreakingDown app linked to the QR code. And "VS Fighter": players must defeat BreakingDown competitors using not only punching power but also impact and timing. BreakingDown famous competitors will appear for a limited time. The first two players, Teru and Ueda, will be available for a limited time from April 1st.

Polaris Chord, the lastest musical game from Konami is available in Japan today. The game is about VTubers and you play a new employee of the SIHBA TV that have to recruit characters called "Contenters" to create video content. You get Contenters thanks to gacha, each one has different abilities related to score and life gauge. You play the game with a keyboard with 12 physicale keys and two faders. You have to press the keys while notes scroll from the back to the front and reach the judgement line. However, you don't have to hit the specific key on the keyboard to match the note on the screen, hitting a key surrounding the scrolling note is sufficient. There are different types of notes: Tap, Tap/Flick, Tap/Hold, Tap/Slide, Tap/Release, Honeycomb, Fader, Fader/Hold, Fader/Scratch.There are two monitors: a touch panel monitor, and another monitor which is used to display music videos during gameplay, and reactions of the Contenters during the results. The cabinet also includes a headphone jack terminal. There are 3 game modes: Beginner (2 songs), Basic (3 songs) and Timer (4, 6, 8 or 12 minutes).

Touhou Scarlet Diabolique Fantastica is out in Japanese game centers today. The game will be available for Japanese consumers on April 18. Touhou Scarlet Diabolique Fantastica is the 2nd Touhou game released on exA-Arcadia and this is the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil (Touhou Episode 6). Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame are back to discover the mystery behind a strange red mist and two new characters join them: Sanae Kochiya (a descendant of a god Suwako Moriya and maid of the Moriya Shrine)and Patchouli Knowledge (a very smart magician from the Scarlet Devil Mansion). All game characters are voiced by 12 anime seiyu such as Ayaka Suwa, Naomi Ohzora, Kanae Ito and Asami Sanada. As for Touhou Perfect Sakura Fantastica, Team Shanghai Alice, the original series creators, supervised the game development. There are 3 play modes: Original (with 4 difficulty levels), Extra (you can play the epilogue) and Score attack. The exA is renowned for its low input delay, and this game is no exception, with an input lag of 2 frames, half that of the original version. You can choose between the original soundtrack and the arranged soudtrack composed by Keishi Yonao. Touhou Scarlet Diabolique Fantastica is in Japanese and in English and can be played both vertical or horizontal and 16:9 and 4:3. Cyborg Force is a new run and gun video game for NeoGeo MVS by Neo Byte Force (Ozzy Ouzo and Johnny 16Bit, the team behind the Tsunami Edition of The Eye of Typhoon). You choose one of the 8 members of mankind’s most top-elite military corps, your mission is to save the universe from the mad tyrant of Mars’ ultimate weapon of mass destruction: the Necro-Doomizer. You fight against waves of hostile mutants, cyber-troops, air and armoured units. You can also play with a teammate. Gitadora Galaxy Wave starts operation today. This is the 10th work in the GITADORA series from Konami and the theme is theme is music from the galaxy where sparkling stars gather. The visuals have been completely changed from the previous work GITADORA FUZZ-UP which had a dark image with a noise motif. You can enjoy a wide variety of songs, including anime songs and popular songs, with a focus on Konami's original songs. ZOMBIES READY DEADY GO! from Sega Amusements is available today in Europe. This is a 4-players skill-based redemption game featuring a ball-rolling, derby-style experience. You choose between the 4 zombies: Bubbles, Coco, Dizzy and Smudge and then you take part in a hilarous race hosted by “live” TV presenter, Ken Chase, and Brian De’ath, his crazy Zombie Sidekick. The goal is to reach the finish line by roll balls into the scoring holesto make their zombie walk, jog, or run. During the final sprint, the super bonus zombie mouth open at the end of the playfield and gives tyou a super bonus if you thow a ball in it. When the race is over, tickets are awarded based on race position and ball scores. The cabinet features a 65" screen that showcases players' zombies and their race progress, a 6-channel audio system and a ticket dispensor.

The first StepManiaX machine has just appeared in Belgium. You'll find it at the S'pace bowling alley in Malmedy (formerly Bowling 362). Of course, S'pace is more than just a bowling alley. In addition to the 12 bowling lanes, there's a bar, an arcade area with video games, cranes and pinball machines (game list), racing simulators and a quiz room. After a few transformations, the arcade section reopens today with new games such as Jurassic Park Arcade, Mario Kart Arcade GP, Pac-Man Battle Royale, Skill Shooter, Super Bikes 3 and the famous StepManiaX. Already very popular in the United States and the United Kingdom, StepManiaX is a dance game developed by Step Revolution (In The Groove, ReRave, Pump It Up Pro). This video game began its career in American gyms in 2017, at which time the machine was equipped with a 43" screen and a 2.1 sound system. An improved version of the cabinet featuring a 4.2 sound system was released in arcades at the end of 2019. Finally, a deluxe version was released at the end of 2022, featuring a 65" touch screen and an 8.1 sound system. This latest version is the one found in Malmedy. The game features more than 400 songs, with new titles added every month. There are songs of all styles, and from a variety of artists including Naoki, Scott Brown, Cubic 22, E-Rotic, ... Having started out in gyms, the game shows the number of calories burned at the end of the game and aims to be more accessible than other arcade dance games. Throughout the race taking place in various environements, you have to pass through checkpoints, which give speed boosts and unlock advanced skills like Slipstream, Power Drift, and Aero-Drift. Aero-Drift is a unique feature to Apex Rebels, where players can boost through the air, allowing them to effortlessly overtake their rivals. The game features an intelligent adaptive difficulty system to suit to both beginner and hardcore gamers. Apex Rebels cabinet features a 65" LED monitor, a huge panomaric LED Matrix vide billboard showing in-race informations and leader boards, a live camera system, a force feedback steering wheel and a motion base with safety belt and emergency stop sytem. The day has finally come! The Nationaal Videogame Museum is reopening its doors after 5 months of closure. The new address is Luxemburglaan 1, still in Zoetermeer in the Netherlands. Open in its current form since 2017, what started out as an exhibition of a personal collection has transformed over the years into a gigantic museum featuring more than 1,000 games, ranging from 80s classics such as Galaga and Donkey Kong to the latest Japanese music games such as maimai, Chunithm and Sound Voltex. Although arcade machines make up a large part of the collection, there are also consoles and a bar. Museums can be boring, but not this one of course, as you can play all the games showcased here, making it a huge arcade with games from all eras. As you can see, it must be experienced! Run by Hassan Tasdemir, the Nationaal Videogame Museum opens its doors from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00, with openings until 22:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is €17.50 for 2 hours and €27.50 for the day.
