NeoTurfMasta has just succeeded to dump the contents of a Neo-Geo development board he had bought in Japan in March 2016. When he managed make working what he thought to be Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer, he was in shock: it was a completely different game! Unfortunately, data on Fix and Voice SRAM cart was completely unreadable and S1 card was not present. Consequently, there is no sound nor music and elements such as the font and health bars are absent. The game has 12 characters, but they are not all finished, some are not fully drawn, others are missing some of their animation frames or have no hit box. Each character has 3 classes: Chaotic, Neutral and Lawful. The selected class changes the stance, speed, moves and even the character's victory pose. The implementation of the class system is not complete because you must use the debug menu to select a class. Game data have been sent to Haze and the game may therefore be playable in the next version of the MAME emulator. Unfortunately, with missing Fix data, they will need to use replacement data (like NeoTurfMasta did). NeoTurfMasta has published a video of the character selection screen on YouTube and Haze posted a video of the game running in MAME. There's also another video showing the game running on the actual hardware at Midwest Gaming Classic. All other information can be found in his post at Neo-Geo.com. Will we find the developers of this game and learn more about it? Or even finish the game? Nowadays, anything is possible! (at Zombo.com)

After the release of Aero Fighters (Sonic Wings in Japan), the designer of the game Shin Nakamura leaves the company to found Psikyo and continues to develop shooting games including the famous Sengoku Ace, Strikers 1945, Gunbird and Zero Gunner series. Psikyo is also responsible for the well-known Taisen Hot Gimmick series of mahjong games. Psikyo also released two fighting games: Battle K-Road (which offers realistic fighting moves) in 1994 and The Fallen Angels (developed by The Steel Hearts) in 1998. A part of the team behind Fallen Angels went to SNK to work on The King of Fighters '99. After releasing a mahjong game with G-Taste characters in 2002, the company was acquired by X-Nauts. Their last arcade game, Taisen Hot Gimmick 5, was released in 2005. Psikyo productions have marked the '90s with their sumptuous graphics, perfect gameplay and very high difficulty. In Belgium, fans of arcade games are in luck lately! After Star Wars Battle Pod and MotoGP, more new games reach our country. After some renovation works, the famous Reflex arcade in Ostend has indeed installed the new Jurassic Park Arcade environmental shooter by Raw Thrills, two MotoGP and Crossy Road Arcade, a very addictive redemption video game! It's a two player Frogger-like game with cute graphics and funny animations. We rarely see video redemption games in Belgium. This is unfortunate because there are many titles available and unlike mechanical games where earnings are often due to luck, here the number of tickets earned depends directly on the player's skills. The Reflex also announced the imminent arrival of Grand Piano Keys, another video redemption with a giant piano where you have to press the keys that light up to play familiar tunes. Reflex arcade is located on the corner of Langestraat and Vlaanderenstraat. This will be another addition to the twenty arcade games already in the arcade. So you know where to go if you visit Ostend...
We don't see new arcade games in Belgium very often, but when it happens, it's the heavy weights! Today, two brand new titles are coming to us: the first one is MotoGP, the best motorcycle racing game since Manx TT. Thanks to its license, MotoGP offers the players the chance to ride the motorbikes of the greatest drivers such as Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez. The game features authentic circuits from the championship and graphics are stunning! The cabinet blows air into the face of the player to simulate speed. Prepare for the mind-blowing races! The other novelty is the Flat Screen edition of Star Wars Battle Pod! Relive the greatest battles of the first trilogy flying an X-Wing, a snow speeder, a moto-speeder and an even Darth Vader's TIE Advanced! A new level; the battle of Takodana from the seventh episode is announced for this summer. You can play both games as soon as today at 4pm at Coney Island arcade on spring funfair in Mouscron. There, you will find two linked-up MotoGP arcade machines and a Star Wars Trilogy Flat Screen Edition cabinet, but also Aliens Armageddon, Winter X Games SnoCross, Dead Heat, a F355 Challenge deluxe cabinet and the classic Sega Rally 2 racing game. That's plenty of fun! Mouscron spring funfair will end on Sunday, March 20th so visit it before that date if you live in the area. Coney Island will then visit other cities such as Charleroi, Namur, Tournai, Liège and Mons. Maybe it will stop near your place... And if it is not the case, these games are worth the trip!
